RPM RPM81242 Rear Skid Plate Black Traxxas Slash 2WD

RPM's RPM81242 Rear Skid Plate eliminates the chronic failure point of the stock Traxxas Slash 2WD rear skid plate. When the stock plate fails, it can rip rear shock tower mounting screws out of the chassis — a catastrophic failure that sends the rear end in a completely different direction. RPM's completely redesigned plate uses three chassis mounting points instead of two, triangulating the mounts to spread impact energy over a larger area using a pre-existing chassis hole (no drilling required). A solid flat skid design with large-radius transitions replaces the cross-tube stock design, letting the truck slide over obstacles cleanly instead of catching. Four thick skid rails on both the front and rear reduce sliding friction and boost durability, with a full-width tail rail protecting the lower transmission screw and rear bumper mount. Replaces rear skid plate from Traxxas #5837. Note: stock rear bumper/wheelie bar mounts (Traxxas #3677) are NOT compatible — RPM bumper mount required.
