Classic Low-Wing Design, Modernized
Designed as a first low-wing trainer over five decades ago, the Lark remains a terrific everyday sport plane. OSMW's version keeps all of the iconic looks and great flying characteristics of the original, with laser-cut precision, self-aligning parts, and simplified construction features that make building faster and more accurate than ever.
Easy to Build
Wing and stab assembly are straightforward — all ribs include alignment tabs that allow you to quickly and precisely position them on your building board. The fuselage is built around a self-aligning lightweight box structure for added strength, surrounded by balsa skin that is strong, lightweight, and twist-resistant.
Wide Flight Envelope
In the air, the Lark is aerobatic yet forgiving — a perfect entry-level low-wing experience. Slow it down for relaxed touch-and-goes and low passes, or throttle up for loops, rolls, Cuban 8s, and hammerhead turns. The Lark packs full aerobatic capability into a compact airframe that fits completely assembled in the trunk of most cars.
VRCS Legal Vintage Design
The Old School Model Works Lark is a Vintage R/C Society qualifying design, making it eligible for vintage fly-ins and contests.
